Experteer Overview In this role you support Airbnb's Tax Controversy team by shaping and executing the global audit strategy, with a strong focus on EMEA. You will lead or co-lead significant tax disputes, coordinate with internal teams and external counsel, and advise on jurisdiction-specific risks. You help align tax positions across regions while ensuring timely, persuasive responses to authorities. - Coordinate cross-functional responses to tax authority requests and information disclosures
- Co-lead major EMEA tax litigation cases, including strategy, discovery, and milestone management
- Serve as primary contact for EMEA external counsel, regulators, and government officials in ongoing disputes
- Advise on litigation risks, privilege issues, and compliance within the EMEA tax environment
- Collaborate with US, EMEA, and general tax, legal, and policy teams for consistent messaging
- Analyze audit strategies and dispute resolution options to balance tax risks with business goals
- Prepare responses to tax authorities by organizing data and researching technical tax issuesResponsabilidades
- A law degree with 10+ years focused on tax audits and litigation
- Proven experience leading tax audits and litigation
- Excellent English; proficiency in French, Italian and/or Spanish preferred
- Strong understanding of tax litigation and dispute resolution across key EMEA jurisdictions
- Ability to learn quickly and stay current on tax law developments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for persuasive authority
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience collaborating with cross-regional tax, legal, and policy teams
- Expertise with corporate tax issues in EMEA, including transfer pricing, data production, withholding tax, and VATRequisitos principales
