Experteer Overview
Lead the Configurable Materials master data domain with a focus on Variant Configuration, driving the SAP VC/LO-VC to AVC evolution and the data model that underpins product definitions, BoM structures, and manufacturing/planning. You own the data roadmap for this domain, act as Business Owner for SAP MDG-M and VC landscape, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives across Ru0026amp;D, Commercial, Procurement, Operations, and Finance. You will shape the digital thread and data governance while enabling intelligent automation and scalable, compliant data practices.

• Own and evolve the SAP VC data model (characteristics, values, classes, configuration profiles, dependencies, constraints, variant tables)
• Advance from LO-VC to AVC with a defined migration roadmap and business-case priorities
• Design and govern super-BoM and variant-BoM structures for manufacturing and procurement planning
• Define material classification, codification, and hierarchy frameworks for scalable VC model selection
• Own BoM data strategy across PLM, ERP, and MES boundaries and ensure synchronization
• Architect data integration patterns across PLM Windchill, SAP MDG, S/4HANA, PIM/DAM, MES with emphasis on real-time data and API connectivity
• Link VC models to pricing procedures and CPQ platforms for real-time, validated configuration data
• Extend materials master-data to serialized equipment, service BoMs, and aftermarket records with traceability
• Embed material composition, weight, and regulatory data for sustainability and compliance (REACH, RoHS)
• Govern data standards and governance framework, data ownership, policies, SLAs, lineage, and lifecycle management
• Lead RECITE program materials MD data workstream, champion PLM-to-ERP mapping and digital-thread alignment




• Apply AI/ML to profiling, rule generation, and anomaly detection while maintaining VC/master-data ownership
• Build and lead the materials data community through training, engagement, and change management
• Define an operating model for materials data and optimize onshore/nearshore/offshore resources
• Mentor the materials data team and foster cross-functional collaboration

Responsabilidades
• 8-10 years in materials master-data and Variant Configuration leadership in multinational corporations
• Deep expertise in SAP LO-VC with a clear view toward AVC evolution (data-model, processes, governance)
• Mastery of VC modeling objects and their use in super-BoM/variant-BoM structures
• University degree in Data Management, IT, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline
• Experience owning BoM data strategy across PLM/ERP/MES boundaries and change propagation standards
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data architecture, integration patterns
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, lineage, metadata management, cataloguing, observability, data-mesh/fabric concepts
• Proven track record leading data-quality improvement programs at scale in integral settings
• Experience in Shared Services/global delivery models
• Ability to engage external stakeholders (industry forums, standards bodies) and benchmark practices
• Comfort using AI/ML to accelerate VC/materials-master logic while maintaining ownership
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication; fluent in English; capable of parallel program delivery
• Pragmatic project-management skills to manage multiple workstreams in transformation programs
