Experteer Overview As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Mambu, you will build secure, high-performance bank connectivity and payment automation features. You’ll own architectural decisions for complex backend systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable fintech solutions. You’ll shape the technical direction, mentor peers, and drive security-by-design across public and internal APIs. This role offers impact at scale within a fast-paced, innovative fintech environment. - Develop bank connectivity and payment automation features with emphasis on security, stability, and performance
- Own architectural decisions for complex, high-impact projects and guide technical direction

- Define and execute the technical roadmap to improve velocity and manage technical debt

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong Golang expertise
- Background in fintech, banking, or payments (SEPA, Swift, Ebics…)
- Proven track record designing and owning distributed backend systems in production
- Strong relational database and SQL skills, including high-concurrency and transactional integrity
- Experience building high-volume SaaS platforms with maintainable and well-documented code
- Advanced API design skills with focus on security, versioning, and documentation
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and raise engineering standards
