We are looking for a Legal Counsel - Spain to join our Barcelona office and become the legal subject matter expert for our Spanish operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Director, you will provide practical legal advice across a wide range of commercial, corporate and operational matters affecting the Group's Spanish related business. Working closely with colleagues across Legal, Compliance and the wider business, you will help ensure our operations remain legally compliant while supporting commercial growth in one of our key regulated markets.

This role is primarily focused on legal matters, with regular exposure to the regulatory environment in Spain. While previous experience within the Spanish online gambling sector is not essential, an understanding of highly regulated industries and the ability to work with regulatory bodies will be valued. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working autonomously, partnering with stakeholders across the business and becoming the trusted legal advisor for the Spanish market.

Legal Advisory

Provide day-to-day legal advice and guidance on commercial, corporate and operational matters relating to the Group's Spanish operations. Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including supplier, technology, marketing, partnership and service contracts. Advise internal stakeholders on legal risk while delivering commercially pragmatic solutions.

Support corporate governance matters relating to the Group's Spanish entities. Assist with strategic legal projects, including corporate restructurings, business initiatives and, where applicable, acquisitions or integrations. Manage relationships with external legal advisors where specialist advice is required, helping reduce reliance on external counsel wherever possible.





Work closely with the Chief Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Officer on legal and regulatory matters affecting the Spanish market. Assist with regulatory submissions, legal documentation and official communications as required. Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure legal advice supports the Group's regulatory obligations.

Partner closely with Commercial, Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance and People teams to provide practical legal guidance. Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes, contract management and governance frameworks. Support wider Group legal initiatives when required.

Qualified lawyer with a Law Degree and admission to a Spanish Bar Association. Proven experience in commercial, corporate or in-house legal practice. Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.

Excellent understanding of Spanish commercial and corporate law. Previous exposure to the Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ) or the Spanish online gambling regulatory framework would be considered a strong advantage. Exposure to corporate transactions, M&A; or corporate restructuring projects would be advantageous.

Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives. Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English, written and spoken. Exposure to both local Spanish regulatory matters and wider international legal projects.
