Experteer Overview As a Controls System Design Engineer, you will lead the development and integration of bespoke control systems, focusing on standardized PLC and HMI applications using CODESYS. You’ll collaborate with project teams to tailor solutions for temporary power, hybrid energy, and microgrid deployments. You’ll validate, document, and support system performance to improve customer outcomes at scale. - Experience developing PLC apps using CODESYS or IEC 61131-3 platforms
- Proficiency in operator interfaces (HMI/SCADA)
- Strong understanding of industrial automation and electrical control systems
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, control philosophies, and functional specs
- Knowledge of industrial communications (Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, CAN)
- Experience selecting and integrating control hardware, I/O, and networking equipment
- Strong analytical and fault-finding skills
