This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Back-End Engineer (Python) based in Spain.
As a Back-End Engineer, you will join a cross-functional engineering squad building and scaling a modern SaaS platform designed for general workforce management. You will focus on developing secure, reliable, and easy-to-use APIs and integrations that power critical product experiences. Working alongside Product, Design, Front-End, Back-End, and QA specialists, you will contribute throughout the full software delivery lifecycle. The environment is remote-first and highly collaborative, with teams distributed across Europe and Asia and a strong emphasis on asynchronous communication. You will have increasing ownership over technical solutions while participating in architecture and engineering discussions. AI-assisted development is an integral part of the engineering workflow, giving you the opportunity to use modern coding tools while developing strong judgment around generated code.

Accountabilities:
Develop, document, and maintain fast, secure, reliable, and easy-to-use APIs consumed by front-end and back-end applications.
Design and implement integrations with third-party applications and external software systems.
Participate in the full implementation lifecycle, from technical design and development through testing, deployment, and rollout.
Use AI-powered coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot as part of the development workflow while reviewing, validating, and improving generated code.
Collaborate with Product Managers and fellow Engineers to plan, design, and implement new product features.
Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, and solution design within the engineering organization.
