Operations Project Manager – Avionics / Electronic Systems (Post‑FAI to EOL)
you will play a key role in the
industrial execution of aerospace projects
from
Start of Production (post‑FAI)
through
serial production and up to End‑of‑Life (EOL) . You will be the operational reference for: Ensuring
on‑time, on‑cost and on‑quality deliveries
in a highly demanding environment. Securing
industrial continuity
in a context of
manufacturing transfer to external partners
and strong
obsolescence pressure . Coordinating
lifecycle support
for long‑life avionics products. What we’re looking for
Experience & technical background
5–7+ years of experience
in
industrial / operations project management
in
aerospace or defense
(production, industrialization, ramp‑up). Proven experience in : Production ramp‑up / industrialization
of electronic or avionics products. Manufacturing supplier and subcontractor management
(EMS / CEM partners such as CICOR or similar). FAI / qualification processes
and production launch of aerospace equipment. Solid understanding of: Electronic systems / avionics products
(embedded hardware, LRUs, etc.). Supply chain and manufacturing processes
(planning, procurement, quality, logistics). Experience with
obsolescence management
and
lifecycle support
(spares, repairs, LTB) is a strong advantage. Experience with manufacturing transfer / outsourcing
(MUST). Knowledge of
EN9100 / aerospace quality standards
(MUST). Familiarity with
safety‑certifiable systems
and standards such as
DO‑254 / DO‑178, DAL A
(Nice to have). Languages
Professional English
(spoken and written),
able to:Interact with international customers. French or German are a plus for interaction with European suppliers (Nice to have, not mandatory). What you will do
1. Production & FAI execution
Lead the
execution of projects in production or pre‑production (FAI phase) , ensuring: On‑time, on‑cost and on‑quality deliveries
of serial units. Contribute to
final industrial readiness
and successful
First Article Inspection (FAI) . Drive
ramp‑to‑rate activities
and secure
production stability . Coordinate with
engineering and supply chain
to prevent
production disruptions . 2. Manufacturing transition & partner management
Support and coordinate the
transition from internal manufacturing to external partners
(EMS / CEM). Closely monitor
partner performance
(quality, delivery, cost) and implement
corrective actions
when needed. Proactively verify that: Components are ordered on time . Supply chain risks
are identified and anticipated early. Supplier assumptions
are realistic and consistent. Risks are escalated
in a timely manner. Recovery plans
are defined and executed. 3. Obsolescence & supply chain risk management
Drive
mitigation strategies
with proactive
obsolescence management
(components, materials, technologies) to secure
supply continuity . Coordinate with
engineering, procurement and planning
to avoid production stops. 4. Lifecycle to EOL & sustainment
Ensure
product supportability
throughout its operational life:Management of
spares, repairs and configuration
according to customer expectations and maintenance contracts. Plan and execute
product phase‑out : Final builds ,
Last Time Buy (LTB) ,
and alignment with customers and stakeholders. Align
Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality
to resolve industrial issues. Facilitate
fast problem resolution
and decision‑making in high‑pressure environments. 6. Project control & performance management
Manage
project KPIs : schedule, cost, delivery and quality. Identify
risks
and implement
mitigation plans . Provide
regular reporting
to senior management and internal/external stakeholders. Act as
primary interface
during the production phase:Follow‑up on
delivery commitments . FAI acceptance
and demonstration of
industrial maturity . Ensure
clear and structured communication
with customers, partners and internal teams. Strong
execution and problem‑solving mindset
in complex industrial environments. Ability to operate under
high pressure and tight timelines , keeping focus on results. Excellent
communication and coordination skills
with multiple stakeholders (engineering, production, quality, customer, suppliers). High capability to
anticipate risks
and define
mitigation plans . Structured and results‑driven approach , comfortable working with KPIs and reporting. Strong sense of
ownership
