For REWE digital Spain, a subsidiary of the REWE Group located in Málaga, we are looking for an IT Security Systems Engineer (m/f/d) – Access Control & Building Security to strengthen our international Building Management team.

As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems, REWE digital plans, develops, and operates digital solutions for one of Europe's leading retail and tourism groups.

Your Home of IT is our Building Management (BUM) product within the Corporate Functions (CF) domain and the Digital Office IT (DOIT) organization.

The team is responsible for digital solutions supporting building operations and building security across offices, logistics facilities, and other REWE Group locations.

With a strong focus on Access Control Systems, you will become part of our Building Security Center of Excellence and work closely with business stakeholders, security experts, suppliers, and colleagues in Germany and Spain.

Following an onboarding period, you will take ownership of operational support, projects, and the further development of our access control landscape.

What you will do

- Support and operate enterprise-wide access control solutions used across REWE Group locations.
- Act as a key contact for incidents, troubleshooting, and technical support related to building security systems.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues together with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Drive the rollout, migration, and implementation of new access control technologies.
- Support the introduction of dormakaba exos as the future strategic access management platform.
- Contribute to the modernization of access control infrastructure and credential technologies.
- Create and maintain technical specifications, process descriptions, concepts, and documentation.
- Evaluate new technologies, products, and vendor solutions within the building security domain.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers, security experts, and external partners.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Support project planning, testing activities, rollouts, and acceptance processes.
- Participate in supplier and stakeholder management activities.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert within the Building Security Center of Excellence and continuously expand your expertise in security technologies.

What you will bring:

- First and foremost, your personality: You enjoy solving technical problems, taking ownership, and working in an international team.

You are eager to learn, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and are passionate about physical security technologies.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Access Control, Physical Security, Electronic Security Systems, or a related field.
- Experience supporting and operating technical security systems.
- Experience working with enterprise applications and/or security platforms.
- Ability to analyze requirements and develop practical technical solutions.
- Experience creating specifications, concepts, documentation, or technical designs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently after onboarding while collaborating effectively within a distributed team.
- Professional English language skills (required).
- German language skills are a strong plus.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence is desirable.
- Experience working with external suppliers and stakeholders is beneficial.
- Understanding of IT systems, interfaces, and system integrations is an advantage.
- Experience with access control solutions such as dormakaba, Primion, or similar vendors is highly desirable.
