We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in applied entomology to join the Sustainable Plant Protection Program team, based in Cabrils. We offer the opportunity to be part of an organization with a dynamic, collaborative work environment focused on professional development.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will focus on the assessment of sustainable pest control methods and on the development of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies to proactively promote the presence of natural enemies of pests, to monitor them, and to set up biological control strategies in different commodities and storage facilities.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Contribute in a proactively manner to the activities of the research line in applied entomology, performing scientific and technical tasks related to the ongoing projects.
Participate in the planning, execution, and analysis of experiments to ensure the achievement of milestones of the research projects.
Contribute to the scientific production of the research and innovation activities of the Program.




Update continuously with scientific knowledge to be positively transferred to stakeholders and end-users.
Help positioning the Sustainable Plant Protection Program as a group of excellence through regular peer-reviewed publications and contributions at national and international congresses.
Collaborate with teamwork and team-spirit in the Sustainable Plant Protection Program, fostering collaboration and integration activities.
Required qualifications and experience
PhD in Agricultural Entomology or related disciplines.
Proven experience in arthropod pests affecting stored products, with a special focus on their monitoring and management, and an outstanding record of scientific publications in this field.
Knowledge of biological control would be an asset.
Proven research skills: literature review, data analysis, scientific article writing.
Dissemination skills: presentation/communication skills, and technical writing.
