For one of our clients, a fast-growing
Retail Analytics
scale-up based in Barcelona, we are looking for a
Data Intelligence Engineer
to help build the data platform powering advanced analytics and AI-driven insights for some of Europe's leading retail and e-commerce brands.

What You'll Be Working On

• Designing and developing large-scale data pipelines for retail analytics platforms

• Building streaming and batch data processing solutions supporting millions of customer interactions

• Creating reliable datasets for AI models, business intelligence, and advanced analytics

• Optimising data platform performance, scalability, and cost efficiency

• Developing data models supporting demand forecasting, customer insights, and operational reporting

• Collaborating with data scientists to deliver production-ready AI and machine learning solutions

• Improving data quality, governance, and observability across the analytics platform





Experience Required

• 4+ years of commercial experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Big Data Engineering

• Strong Python and SQL development skills

• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing

• Experience building event-driven data pipelines using Kafka or similar streaming technologies

• Experience working with Snowflake or modern cloud data warehouse platforms

• Strong understanding of cloud-native data architecture and scalable analytics platforms

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting AI or machine learning initiatives

• dbt, Airflow, or modern orchestration tools

• Real-time analytics and customer behaviour modelling

• Experience working in retail, e-commerce, consumer technology, or digital marketplaces

• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools

• Data observability and governance platforms
