What You’ll Do

As a
Photonics SW Core Engineer
, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of the core software layers that control iPronics’ optical circuit switch. Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the design and development of core software layers controlling the optical circuit switch.
- Developing software tools to characterize and validate optical circuit switch behavior.
- Testing and analyzing software performance at the optical system level.




- Collaborating closely with other teams to understand and integrate subsystem controllers managed by the core software layer.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Physics, or a related field.

Experience
- Experience in the photonics field is valued (academic or professional).
- Junior to mid-level profiles are welcome.

Technical Skills
- Experience in software development (Python preferred).
- Familiarity with Git workflows.
- Experience in software testing practices.
- Experience working with optical lab equipment and software orchestration is a plus.

Nice to Have
- Prior experience in integrated photonics.
- Familiarity with TDD / BDD frameworks and software design patterns.
- Git portfolio and/or open-source contributions.

Soft Skills
- Strong team player with a continuous learning mindset.
