3D Animator (Volunteer Collaboration): Indie Game Project (Unity)

We're a small team of indie developers currently working on an exciting game project in
Unity
, and we're looking for a passionate
3D Animator
to join us as a
volunteer collaborator
.

Our team is fully remote, and we work using
Agile methodologies
, organizing development in
sprints
. We collaborate daily through
Discord
, where we discuss progress, share feedback, and plan upcoming tasks.

What You'll Do
- Create high-quality animations for characters, creatures, and gameplay interactions.
- Work with existing character rigs or help improve them when needed.
- Collaborate closely with programmers and artists to integrate animations into Unity.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and regular team discussions.
- Iterate on animations based on team feedback while maintaining a consistent visual style.

What We're Looking For
- Experience creating 3D character animations.
- Proficiency with
Blender
or another professional 3D animation package.




- Understanding of character rigging and animation workflows.
- Familiarity with
Unity
animation pipelines is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a
fully remote team
using
Discord
and
Agile/Scrum-style sprints
.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Passion for indie games and a proactive attitude.

Compensation

This is currently an unpaid volunteer position.

We're an independent team developing this project in our spare time and, at this stage, we don't have funding available.

Our goal is to build a high-quality game together, gain experience, and create something we're all proud of. If the project eventually secures funding or generates revenue, we'd like to revisit compensation with a
