Position: Horizontal activities, tooling, documentation and support Architect.
Location: Remote (EU).
Rate: The rate offered depends on the candidate’s level, in accordance with the Commission’s public grading system and the ubication of the candidate. Further details are available upon discussion.
Language: Services will be provided in English. Consultants must have at least a C1 level, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Minimum post-secundary education required: At least 5 years of studies attested by a diploma.
Minimum professional experience required: a minimum of 3 years postsecondary professional experience.

Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain back-office tooling supporting business migrations, specifically for Grants and Experts domains.
· Deliver monitoring, testing and scripting tools to improve platform stability and operational efficiency.




· Support business developers in implementing Compass Corporate components within their processes.
· Produce and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
· Provide 3rd-level technical support and investigate complex technical issues.
· Perform migration, development, testing, maintenance and documentation activities.
· Analyze incidents, develop fixes and contribute to platform reliability improvements.
· Implement automation, performance optimization and technical remediation activities.
· Prepare deployment artefacts and support production integration activities.
· Participate in PI planning, sprint activities, technical refinement sessions and stakeholder demonstrations.
· Contribute to technical governance, coordination meetings and decision tracking.

Specific knowledge, skills and expertise:
Frontend development
· Proficiency in HTML5, Javascript/TypeScript, CSS3 and SASS.
· Proficiency in Angular, including modern concepts like Signals.
