The ICT Officer – Geospatial Data Engineer plays a key role in delivering geospatial data (vector and raster) management services in support of emergency response, peace operations, and political missions worldwide. The position involves applying advanced geospatial data management, integration, quality control, and governance practices to support situational awareness, operational planning, and decision-making in complex and often time-sensitive environments. The role contributes to integral operations while ensuring compliance with UN policies, standards, and best practices.

Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide timely, accurate, and reliable geospatial data management services to support UN field missions and headquarters. The incumbent ensures that geospatial data management processes, standards, and tools are applied consistently to support data quality, accessibility, interoperability, and governance, while aligning all activities with UNGSC business objectives and applicable UN policies, rules, and regulations.



This role supports the coordinated delivery of geospatial data services across global locations and operational contexts.

- Develops and delivers geospatial data management services to support UN peacekeeping, political, and humanitarian operations through standardized data management and integration workflows.
- Assists in managing the collection, validation, harmonization, transformation, and maintenance of vector, raster, imagery, authoritative and operational geospatial datasets from multiple sources and environments.
