Electrical Field Service Technician – Critical Power Systems (UPS, ATS, Generators, Switchgear)

Location:
Remote (U.S.)

Travel:
100% Monday-Friday travel throughout the United States.
Technicians are expected to travel weekly to customer sites nationwide and are generally home on weekends.

About The Opportunity
A growing provider of critical power solutions is seeking an experienced
Field Service Technician
to support customers across the United States. This position is responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing
UPS systems, low- and medium-voltage power distribution equipment, switchgear, transformers, battery systems, and associated electrical controls
.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated technician who enjoys travel, solving technical challenges, and working directly with customers in mission-critical environments such as data centers, healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants, utilities, and industrial operations.

Responsibilities




- Lead field service projects and manage onsite activities independently.
- Install, commission, calibrate, maintain, and repair UPS systems and MV/LV electrical distribution equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues involving switchgear, breakers, transfer equipment, battery systems, transformers, alternators, wiring, control panels, and associated components.
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service to minimize customer downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis on electrical and power system failures.
- Perform field inspections and support modular electrical equipment installations.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and construction drawings.
- Supervise equipment startup, commissioning, and integrated system testing.
- Verify installations comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Coordinate equipment startup schedules with internal teams and customer
