Mile builder from the Balearics to the Atlantic island of Madeira via the Strait of Gibraltar. The Melilla-Madeira passage can be used as a qualifying passage for an RYA Yachtmaster Ocean. During the crossing, we'll put the GPS away and navigate by sextant, experiencing the art of traditional celestial navigation.
Anticipated route (up to 1200 NM / 220h): Palma de Mallorca - Cala de Portinatx, Ibiza (62 NM)



- Alicante (120 NM) - Melilla (230 NM) - Strait of Gibraltar - Madeira (760 NM)
1 week of sailing experience recommended. You will be an active member of the crew, and I will provide trainings on board, e.g. sail trim, docking under engine, weather forecasting and weather routing, passage planning, digital and traditional navigation and pilotage, storm tactics, sleep management, managing emergencies etc.
Skipper: MCA Master 200 GT Unlimited, RYA Yachtmaster Ocean commercially endorsed and RYA Yachtmaster Instructor.
