We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our clients finance team on a permanent part-time basis (2 days per week). This role is responsible for producing accurate and timely internal financial reporting, monthly management accounts, and management information to support strategic and operational decision-making.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts within agreed reporting deadlines.

Produce monthly internal management reports, including financial performance analysis and commentary.

Prepare and maintain management reporting packs and dashboards.

Analyse monthly variances against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, providing clear explanations.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts.

Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data used for internal reporting.





Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends.

Support cash flow reporting and financial planning where required.

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Work closely with departmental managers to provide financial information and insights.

Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and financial controls.

Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior management.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications

Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or qualified by experience.

Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a management accounting or similar finance role.

Essential Skills and Experience

Strong experience preparing monthly management accounts.

Experience producing internal financial and management reports.

Excellent understanding of month-end accounting processes.
