Software Development Engineer (Mobile Development): Building and innovating consumer product experiences for the Fire Tablet Launcher, directly impacting the design, architecture, and implementation of flagship products. Focus on delivering highly personalized and relevant content to millions of tablet customers, as well as building performant and stable mobile apps and AWS services.

What you will do

Define and build innovative consumer product experiences.

Take ownership of the long-term quality and success of products.

Clarify requirements, design solutions, and solve difficult software problems.

Mentor new teammates and help them develop production software.





Contribute to an on-call rotation every ~1-2 months.

Design, plan and deliver mid-sized software features.

Requirements

Experience in professional software development (non-internship).

Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.

Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.

Experience with the full software development life cycle.

Experience building Android or iOS applications.

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
