BACKEND ENGINEER (M/F/D)

YOUR TASKS:

* You develop and extend HIVEconnect, our ETL broker that maps HL7 FHIR R4
resources into openEHR Compositions using the openFHIR mapping engine and
persists them in EHRbase.





* You design and implement new additional FHIR resource types (Observation,
Procedure, Encounter, Medication, etc.) and its respective ETL.

* You contribute to the HIVEPRO Portal backend (Spring Boot REST API),
implementing new endpoints for cohort management, query handling, and
researcher project workflows.

* You write test automation (JUnit 5, Mockito, etc.) and contribute to
improving quality and the CI/CD test suite (GitHub Actions).

* You participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and help maintain
clean abstractions across a multi-module Java codebase.

* You work with the DevOps team to containerize and deploy your services
(Docker, Helm, Kubernetes) and ensure your services are observable:
structured logging, metrics endpoints, and appropriate health probes.

* You engage with healthcare data standards (FHIR, openEHR) and collaborate
with clinical informatics specialists to ensure correct semantic mappings.
