We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial PhD candidate to conduct cutting-edge research at the intersection of machine learning and mathematical optimisation, applied to process industries.
This role is embedded in a strong collaboration between industry and academia (the ICSO Meta R&D; group at Universitat Politècnica de València) and focuses on developing next-generation approaches that enhance traditional optimisation methods (including exact methods and metaheuristics) through AI and data-driven techniques.
The research will address real-world challenges in refinery and supply chain planning, contributing to both industrial deployment and high-impact academic publications.
