General Function:
Provide physical therapy to eligible students with disabilities in the schools.

Education/Training/Experience
(Basic minimum requirements are subject to change from time to time to meet the needs of the District.)
Minimum: Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. Licensure from the New Mexico physical therapy licensing board. New Mexico Public Education Department Physical Therapist license.
Preferred: Five years or more of relevant experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English.





Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of state and federal special education requirements. Skills and knowledge held by professionally trained physical therapists.

Performs all functions in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety and environmental regulations, facility and computer security policies and procedures. - Provides assessment, consultation, and therapy to identify, prevent, or compensate for significant motor deficits resulting from physical disabilities or health impairments.
- Provides services required to assist a student with a disability to benefit from special education.
- Assists in the identification, adaptation, and adjustment of equipment.
