Job Overview

The Operations Manager coordinates and manages the manufacturing activities of several areas, ensuring to reach the manufacturing volume and quality standards within the approved operation budget.

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:
- Supervising the production tasks, collaborating with quality, and manufacturing engineering.
- Providing advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring employees on operations initiatives and necessary changes.
- Planning, organizing, and managing the activities necessary to meet production schedules and cost objectives.
- Selecting and maintaining qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly and supervising the hiring, development, evaluation, and termination, if necessary, of all other personnel responsible for direct reports.
- Executing plans for additional equipment, improved processes, and facilities when required.
- Maintaining safety programs to ensure conformance to company, corporate and government requirements.




- Leading overall strategic planning to include production and productivity improvement activities and growth strategies.
- Ensuring that manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer standards.
- Facilitating a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture.
- Managing requirements for cost, quality, and responsiveness.
- Preparing the organization for ongoing change.
- Developing and managing the annual operating budget.
- Leading managers to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
- Monitoring performance against performance goals to ensure progress is being made.

What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience manufacturing management experience (required)
- 8+ years of experience with Lean manufacturing and/or
