ABOUT THE JOB
Within our Railway Systems Area, we are looking for a senior systems specialist to lead the design, integration and delivery of telecom, control and support systems for major railway programmes.
The role requires a hands-on technical leader responsible for the full lifecycle—from design development to commissioning—acting as technical authority across telecom and control systems, and coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces with civil, signalling, power and system teams.
The project will deliver a complex railway system aligned with international standards, including design, integration, installation, testing and commissioning of telecom, control, cybersecurity and supporting railway subsystems.
Key responsabilities:
- Lead design and integration of telecom and control systems across the programme
- Oversee subsystems including Data Communication Network, CCTV, Asset Management Systems, SCADA,
Public Address, Passenger Information System, OCC, Wireless Communication Systems (WiFi, GSM-R/FRMCS), Telephony and cybersecurity platforms, Hazard Detection and Early Warning System.
- Manage interfaces with signalling, traction power, civil and rolling stock systems
- Ensure compliance with international standards and project-specific requirements
- Lead technical reviews, assurance and validation of engineering deliverables
- Coordinate with client, contractors, OEMs and multidisciplinary teams
- Support construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities on site
- Manage technical risks and ensure system performance and safety
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams
