Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervision and Oversight
- Supervise EPC Contractors: Oversee the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure the quality of mechanical work performed by contractors, including welding, fabrication, installation, and testing of tanks.
- Schedule Monitoring: Track and report on the progress of the work, ensuring that construction activities are completed on time
- Technical Support
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical support and guidance to EPC contractors on mechanical engineering aspects, including the interpretation of drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Problem Resolution:
Identify and resolve mechanical issues and discrepancies during construction, coordinating with the design and engineering teams as necessary.
- Review and approval of EPC Contractor claims and Variation Orders.
- Compliance and Standards
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all mechanical construction activities comply with German and EU regulations, as well as international standards relevant to LNG projects.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Enforce HSE policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct safety audits and inspections regularly.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Documentation Review: Review and approve mechanical design documents, drawings, and specifications provided by EPC contractors.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on the status of mechanical works, including progress, quality issues, and safety observations.
