JOB SUMMARY The Senior Scientist in the Assay Development department is an experienced immunoassay developer expected to provide technical leadership across one or more development projects, acting as a subject matter expert and driving assay design, execution and problem‑solving from feasibility through validation.
Working under general direction, provides project planning, tracking, and administrative support for a new product development project. The position requires coordination and communication between the individual and project team members, including vendors, and occasional interface with all levels of the organization from technician through management.
Supervises the coordination of laboratory testing scheduling.




Defines short‑ and mid‑term objectives and implements plans to accomplish objectives under minimum supervision.
Approves electronic or paper laboratory notebooks ensuring all data is accurately recorded in accordance with guidelines and procedures.
Supervises junior staff including technicians.
Keeps up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments.
Networking / Key Relationships To be determined based on department needs, including interactions such as:
~ Mainly with R&D;, Quality and Operations colleagues.

Bachelor's degree (Diplomatura) in the biological or related sciences.
Proficiency in basic software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP preferred.
Language: Fluency in Spanish or Catalan. Advanced knowledge of English (reading, speaking, and writing).
ability to interact with colleagues inside and outside the project team.
Time‑management skills to work on several different projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
