Grand Hyatt Barcelona, one of the city’s newest and most prestigious luxury hotels, is looking for a qualified, proactive, and service‑oriented Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and reliable operation of the hotel’s electrical systems , ensuring safety, efficiency, and uninterrupted service across guestrooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.

Responsibilities
- Inspection, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems throughout the hotel, including but not limited to:
- Performing preventive and corrective electrical maintenance across the property
- Troubleshooting and repairing lighting systems, power outlets, switchboards, electrical panels, circuits, and wiring
- Maintaining emergency lighting systems and backup power infrastructure (UPS and generator support)




- Ensuring proper operation of electrical components connected to HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, technical installations, and guestroom appliances
- Responding promptly and professionally to electrical incidents and maintenance requests
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings, and manuals
- Assisting with energy efficiency and electrical consumption control initiatives
- Ensuring full compliance with electrical regulations, safety standards, and hotel policies
- Accurately documenting maintenance activities and updating maintenance logs and work orders
- Supporting emergency situations with a calm, safety‑focused, and solution‑oriented approach
- Coordinating with external contractors and suppliers when specialized support is required
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition
