We currently have an opportunity for a Cloud Finops Engineer to join our Cloud Compute Services team. You will be supporting the operation of Arup’s cloud compute services in a integral team that has responsibility for implementing and managing organisational wide, fit‑for‑purpose, cloud‑based infrastructure. This role is particularly looking for those with experience of supporting, the financial operations of cloud economics.
Define, establish, and manage financial management practices across a multi‑cloud environment.
Act as a conduit between business and IT, driving the adoption of FinOps principles.
Enable innovative and transformative cloud initiatives while maintaining robust financial governance.

Monitor and optimise cloud costs through billing and invoice management, cost chargeback/showback, and utilisation tracking.
Reporting progress on cloud financial management initiatives.
Lead projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
Demonstrable experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their financial components (cost & usage reports, reserved instances, savings plans, committed use discounts, enterprise discount programs, spot pricing, etc.).
Proven experience establishing and operating cost optimisation initiatives across complex platform and cloud environments, focusing on key levers for financial efficiency.
Experience implementing cloud chargeback and/or showback mechanisms for bus
