At Irizar Forge, a leading industrial forging company based in Gipuzkoa (Lazkao) and part of Royal Van Beest Group, we are seeking a Procurement Manager . The role sits within a highly international environment, supplying critical components to sectors such as oil & gas, wind energy, mining, and maritime industries.
The position reports directly to the local Operations Director, with a functional reporting line to Corporate Procurement, reflecting both local responsibility and alignment with general strategy.
Lead and develop the procurement team and collaborate cross-functionally (2 people).
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
Improve purchasing costs, product quality, and on-time delivery.
Defining short-, medium-, and long-term plans, projects, and objectives in line with the company and corporate strategy.
Monitor KPIs and report to local and corporate management.




Experience: At least 10 years in procurement, ideally within industrial or metal-related environments; Technical Background: Degree in Engineering (Industrial Organization or similar preferred).
Procurement Expertise: Strong background in strategic procurement , supplier management, and negotiation.
Languages & Tools: High level of English is mandatory; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
Additional Knowledge (Nice to Have): MBA or equivalent management training, and familiarity with metallurgy or the iron & steel sector.
