We’re seeking a Principal Product Designer to set design strategy across multiple product areas and shape how Dow Jones approaches design at scale. This is one of our most senior individual contributor roles, requiring someone who can work directly with executive leadership to resolve strategic conflicts and identify company‑wide opportunities.
As a Principal Product Designer,



you’ll have unique visibility across product areas and platforms, enabling you to spot patterns and opportunities that others miss. You’ll work directly with SLT, ELT, and C‑suite executives to shape company direction, while your design patterns become standards across major portions of Dow Jones. You’ll be the design voice for challenges that lack precedent, developing senior talent across multiple product areas while representing Dow Jones at industry events. The Principal Product Designer will report to a Sr. Director, or VP within the Design & Research organization.
Set design strategy across multiple product areas and their platform connections, working directly with SLT, ELT, and C‑suite executives to shape company direction. Resolve conflicts between different strategic directions and help Dow Jones adapt to market changes through design leadership.
