We are looking for a
Buyer Engineer
based in Madrid. Being part of a Procurement Project Team, the candidate will develop, learn and be responsible for:
- Ensure compliance with directives and corporate/project procedures
- Commercial management of the assigned purchases and purchase orders
- Supplier and bidder evaluation and selection
- Launch of Requests for quotation and expediting timely receipt of bids
- Evaluation, clarification and negotiation of sound bids
- Issue of final Commercial Tabulation and recommendation
- Preparing of award proposals
- Issue and follow-up of approved Purchase Orders, including changes and final close out
- Participate in kick-off meetings and solve commercial issues during PO execution
- Internal expediting and close coordination with other departments and project
- Provision of related reports and status

Requirements:




- Relevant experience (+2 years) in purchasing and expediting for significant international projects (experience in the refinery, petrochemical, gas and/or energy sectors will be a plus).
- Engineering Degree.
- Familiar with industrial plant equipment and materials.
- Experience in supplier development and relationship management will be a plus.
- International experience and knowledge of working with suppliers and clients will be a plus.
- Experienced and effective negotiator.
- Excellent analytical skills, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem solving abilities. Proven communicator.
- Proactive and effective team member.
- Adaptable and able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent level of English, both spoken and written.
- Computer literate, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills/abilities
