We are looking for an experienced Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) engineer, with strong experience within QKD, experience and supervising projects. You will have the opportunity to contribute towards a portfolio of highly innovative and challenging projects including GEO-QKD and multiple projects within the EuroQCI ecosystem.
A PhD or Master's degree in Physics, Telecommunications Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.
~3–5 years of experience in quantum communications, with a particular focus on Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).
~ Demonstrated participation in ESA and European-funded programmes, such as Horizon Europe, EuroQCI, or the Quantum Flagship initiatives.
~ Experience in proposal writing, bid preparation, and the coordination of international consortia.
~ Strong English communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers, partners, and institutional stakeholders, including agencies such as ESA and the European Commission. Spanish language skills are highly desirable.
