We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Staff Engineer to join our engineering team based at our office in Valencia, Spain.
We are an international New Space company with employees from more than 57 nationalities. Our team is a tight-knit group of engineering, software development, and radar technology experts. ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers.
As the Mechanical Staff Engineer you are responsible for developing our next generation satellite structures, deployable mechanisms and related hardware. You are a professional team player who will communicate and collaborate effortlessly with our other engineering teams to achieve common goals. Interfaces with directors, team leads, project managers,



and stakeholders; 15+ years of hands‑on experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong specialization in satellite or broader aerospace hardware — this is a practitioner role built on deep industry experience, not a management-track position.
~ Experience creating complex mechanical structures, taking into account thermal, electronic, RF, and manufacturing considerations
~ CAD Fluency: Proficient in CAD tools like Inventor and SolidWorks
~ Experience with projects from proof of concept to delivery

Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools, with strong design intuition to minimize unnecessary iterations.
End-to-end mechanical design experience from concept to maintenance, with particular strength in the concept and design phases for both composite and metallic structures.
Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
