Geotechnical Preconstruction Manager

We are Amazon’s International Design & Construction team, and we are responsible for the construction of Amazon’s network of European building infrastructure such as Fulfillment Centers, Sortation centers and Last Mile delivery stations, and also refurbishments of existing infrastructure. We require a Geotechnical Manager with previous experience in geotechnical studies and assessments for industrial or commercial developments.

The Geotechnical Manager will join the International Design and Construction team and play an integral role in the development and implementation of the International network focusing primarily on our delivery stations.



The successful candidate will be responsible for providing geotechnical expertise relevant for new facilities. You would focus on reviewing phase 1 geotechnical studies in early project stages, and obtain additional external expertise for specific cases. You would support on early site feasibility reviews and support the site selection process from a geotechnical standpoint, and work with the cost team to establish cost options. Further, you would work to optimize foundation and construction design in close collaboration with the (external) design teams and geotechnical consultancies internationally. You would help to establish geotechnical expertise internally, also by selecting and contracting external consultancy support. In addition, you will support standardization of the technical and facility related processes and systems. And there is always the chance to get involved into any other construction related topic in our team.
