This is a fully remote, full-time leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional ready to take ownership of a growing construction and roofing business's financial operations. You will oversee the full accounting cycle while providing financial insight that supports important business decisions. The role combines hands-on accounting expertise with responsibility for job costing, revenue recognition, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement. You will work across residential, commercial, and federally funded projects, managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. The position also offers the opportunity to strengthen controls, optimize accounting technology, and contribute to the development of the wider finance function. Accountabilities




Own the full accounting cycle, including account reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting for leadership.
Oversee job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules across multiple active construction projects, ensuring accuracy and identifying profitability trends.
Manage percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and progress billing across residential, commercial, and federally funded projects.
Provide financial guidance to leadership and support sound decision-making by balancing accuracy, compliance, operational priorities, and business needs.
Lead the integration and optimization of external applications with QuickBooks Online to improve accounting workflows and efficiency.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, expense management, subcontractor payments, and vendor and client interactions, resolving discrepancies proactively.
