The Opportunity:
Avantor is seeking a driven, customer-focused Sales Representative to grow and support our Biotech, Pharmaceutical and Industrial customer base in the Raleigh-Durham area, with select accounts extending into Eastern North Carolina.
In this role, you'll partner with researchers, scientists, and procurement professionals to deliver consultative solutions from Avantor's extensive portfolio of products and services. You'll work closely with fellow Sales Representatives and Specialists to strengthen existing relationships, identify new opportunities, and drive business growth across a well-established, high-performing territory.

What we are looking for
Education: College degree or equivalent/applicable experience; College degree within the sciences is preferred
Experience:



Prefer 3-5 years of experience working in a complex sales environment, where multiple people are involved in the purchasing decision and there is a solution based selling approach
Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office, specifically Teams with preference for experience in CRM systems and QlikSense
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference given to those who have worked in a laboratory or research environment and/or with distribution experience and a scientific background
Excellent communication and team interaction skills, routinely interacting with customers, manufacturers, and staff
Ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers
Ability to work independently and successfully manage time and territory
Excellent analytical skills and ability to sell strategically within an account
Ability to understand individual customer operations
Willingness to travel
