Theatre & Events Technician - Salford
Opportunity Overview
We are seeking an experienced theatre or live events technician to join our technical team supporting a busy programme of productions, performances, commercial hires and events. This hands-on role is adecuado for someone with professional experience of live performance who enjoys delivering high-quality productions while supporting students, staff and visiting companies. This role would suit a technician with experience in theatres, arts venues, touring productions or live events who is looking to develop their career within a creative higher education environment while working on a varied programme of productions, performances and commercial events. The role holder will be encouraged to develop technical skills across multiple disciplines and will work closely with experienced colleagues to support an ambitious programme of productions and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the technical requirements of productions, performances, commercial hires and live events across our professional-standard venues.



This includes lighting, sound, projection, visual effects, rigging and set building.
- Work closely with students, staff and visiting companies to support a wide range of performances, rehearsals and events.
- Maintain and develop specialist facilities and equipment, helping to ensure that resources remain safe, available and fit for purpose
- Support the delivery of training and guidance to students and colleagues, promoting safe and effective use of technical equipment and facilities.
