Quality Assurance Specialist - MBDASalary:up to €48kBased in Madrid in Spain and will be 5 days per week office based.Security Clearance : Spanish Citizen or dual national, but must speak fluent Spanish.We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to support the delivery of complex defence programmes, ensuring full compliance with customer, regulatory and internal requirements throughout the system life cycle. The role contributes directly to programme execution, customer confidence and the continued reliability of MBDA products and services.The OpportunityReporting within the Quality function, you will be responsible for programme quality management, working closely with engineering, programme and industrial teams to ensure quality is fully embedded across activities.Your responsibilities will include:Managing quality aspects of defence programmes across the full system life cycleDeveloping, implementing and maintaining Quality Assurance processes and procedures aligned with contractual, regulatory and internal requirementsCertifying conformity of final deliveries (products and services), including management of related delegationsSupporting Programme Managers by integrating quality into programme governance and executionConducting inspection and validation activities in accordance with Control PlansManaging customer and supplier quality requirements,



including the development and application of Project Quality PlansReviewing acquired materials and supplies to ensure compliance with defined quality standardsLeading continuous improvement initiatives, including activities to reduce Cost of Quality through inspection optimisation and sampling strategiesValidating product and programme quality gates from a Quality & Product Assurance perspectiveEnsuring compliance with national regulations, industry standards and internal specificationsContributing to safety, health, environmental and sustainability objectives across processes and productsWhat We're Looking ForMaster's Degree in Aerospace, Industrial or Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent technical specialisationMinimum 3 years' experience in a Quality role within the Defence sectorStrong knowledge of AQAP / PECAL standardsExperience working with ISO 9001 and EN 9100 quality management systemsGood understanding of engineering and programme activities, including performance trackingExperience engaging with stakeholders at multiple organisational levelsStrong communication and coordination skillsFluent English (C1 level)Willingness to travel internationally as requiredSkills & BehavioursStructured and analytical approach to problem-solvingAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international teamsStrong sense of responsibility and attention to detailCollaborative, professional and delivery-focused mindset
