Call for applications for a T4B - Senior Higher Technician position in the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Research Group. Application deadline: 15 August 2026 at 3:00 p.m.

About the Unit / Group

The Movement Disorders Unit, integrated within the Neurology Department of Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, carries out leading clinical, teaching and research activities in the field of Parkinson's disease, atypical parkinsonism, Huntington's disease, tremor and other movement disorders.

The Unit actively participates in national and international clinical trials, particularly those focused on the development of disease-modifying treatments, and promotes high-quality translational research aimed at advancing the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions.

Essential requirements

- Minimum qualification required: PhD or specialist qualification (MIR, QUIR, FIR or BIR).
- More than 4 years of demonstrable experience in the specific field of work.
- Oral and written knowledge of both official languages of Catalonia. If the selected candidate does not meet this requirement, they must demonstrate or commit to acquiring an adequate command of both official languages of Catalonia within a period not exceeding one year.
- Advanced level of English.
- Advanced knowledge of office software tools -Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.-.

Desirable criteria

- Demonstrated previous interest -conference presentations, publications, etc.- in the field of movement disorders.
- Knowledge of second-line therapies for Parkinson's disease.

Duties





The selected candidate will perform, among others, the following duties:

- Participation in research projects.
- Recruitment and follow-up of participants for second-line therapies and atypical parkinsonism studies.
- Database management and analysis of results.

We offer

- Temporary contract due to production circumstances, to undertake tasks arising from a temporary and unforeseen increase in activity.
- Annual working time of 1,627.50 hours (37.5 hours/week).
- Salary in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
- Appointment to the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Research Group.
