About the Role

We are seeking a Freelance Data Quality Assurance Tester to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our clients' data. In this role, you will design and execute data quality tests, identify defects, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve data issues. You will play a key role in improving data integrity and supporting data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute data quality test cases to validate accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify and document data defects, inconsistencies, and anomalies using data quality tools.
- Work with SQL to extract and validate test data from databases.
- Collaborate with data stewards, developers, and business teams to resolve data quality issues.
- Develop and maintain data quality metrics and KPIs to monitor performance.
- Use data quality tools (e.g., Informatica Data Quality, Talend) to automate testing and validation.
- Support data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment activities.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards.
- Document test results and provide clear reports on data quality status.
- Work with ETL processes to validate data transformations and migrations.

Idóneo Candidate Profile

Experience

- 2–4 years of experience in data quality assurance, testing, or related fields.




- Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Informatica Data Quality, Talend) or automated testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and validation.
- Familiarity with Python (basic scripting) or Excel (advanced functions) is a plus.
- Understanding of data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness).
- Experience with ETL processes and data migrations is a strong plus.

Languages

- Fluent in English (required for collaboration).
- Fluent in French or Dutch (required for client/stakeholder communication).

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and methodical approach to testing.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Collaborative mindset to work with technical and non-technical teams.
