The Head of Legal is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's legal and regulatory requirements across its operations in France, the UK, Poland, and Spain. This position is hybrid, with 3 days a week in the Barcelona office, and reports to the VP of Finance based in Paris.
Legal Oversight & Compliance
Provide expert legal advice on employment, commercial, litigation, corporate, and regulatory matters across the organization.
Ensure compliance with national and international laws, including employment laws, data privacy regulations, and corporate governance.
Develop and maintain internal legal policies, ensuring they align with best practices and industry standards.
Monitor legal and regulatory changes, advising leadership on necessary adjustments to policies and operations.
Risk Management & Dispute Resolution
Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Oversee any legal disputes, investigations, and litigation, working closely with external legal counsel in each jurisdiction where Stuart operates.




Support internal teams in resolving employment law issues, compliance concerns, and corporate governance matters.
Corporate Governance & Ethics
Advise on governance matters, ensuring the company adheres to legal and ethical standards.
Support board and executive leadership with legal insights related to corporate decisions and policies.
Conduct internal legal audits and implement best practices to strengthen regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to align legal strategies with business needs.
Communicate legal policies and updates effectively to senior management and employees.
Act as a liaison with external legal counsel, government agencies, and industry bodies when required. Manage the relationship with the external Data Protection Officer.
