We are looking for a detail-oriented, client-focused Client Accountant , to join our Client Accounts – Corporate Team . This department plays a key role in managing the accounting, tax, compliance, and company secretary obligations for the Spain client base as well as other European jurisdictions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing Spain engagements, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of services, and maintaining strong communication with both clients and local partners. This is a hands-on role adecuado for someone with experience in Spain accounting and tax matters, and who thrives in a high-performance, multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients operating in Spain and other EU jurisdictions, overseeing accounting, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and payroll engagements in line with Spanish and EU requirements.
Prepare and review statutory financial statements, tax computations, and VAT filings in accordance with applicable accounting standards and relevant local tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions,



including Spain.
Ensure timely submission of statutory and tax filings with the Agencia Tributaria (AEAT), Mercantile Registry, and other relevant authorities.
Support clients with company incorporation, corporate changes, deregistration, and related corporate secretarial and banking requirements.
Act as a primary client contact, delivering clear professional communications and coordinating with internal teams and external advisors to ensure smooth service delivery.
Maintain accurate internal records, engagement trackers, and status reports for all assignments.
Assist Hawksford multinational clients in other jurisdictions.
Core Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, audit (external/internal), or tax advisory.
Proven career stability, preferably with 3-5 years of continuous service at a single
