What you'll do
- Perform detailed structural and structural/thermal analyses and sizing of aerospace structures,
components, and systems
- Guide structural optimization and design improvements
- Deliver detailed FEM Models used for analysis, from GFEM to detailed analysis
- Define sizing loads and load cases required for scoping detailed analysis
- Deliver preliminary sizing calculations, hand calculations, and simplified estimates to inform the design
- Support ground and flight tests
- Deliver detailed technical reports and presentations
- Assist in the development of manufacturing, integration, and test processes and procedures
- Support the definition and execution of the qualification and certification process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
- 5-10 years of experience as an aerospace stress engineer
- Experience in Turbomachinery sector
- FEM experience, from building models to analysis, postprocessing, and debugg
