Rail Systems Integration Engineer
We are currently recruiting for a Rail Systems Integration Engineer on behalf of a leading organisation delivering one of the UK's most significant rail infrastructure programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a pivotal role in coordinating rail systems integration activities across multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless delivery from design through to construction and handover.
Working within a highly collaborative environment, you will be responsible for managing critical interfaces between railway systems, civil works, stations, contractors, designers and client stakeholders.
As a Rail Systems Integration Engineer, you will support the successful integration of complex railway systems by managing technical interfaces, assurance activities and stakeholder coordination across the project lifecycle.
Support the implementation and maintenance of the project's Interface Management Plan.
Manage railway systems integration activities from design through to construction and commissioning.




Develop and maintain Functional Specifications, Architecture Specifications and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities in line with project programmes and budget requirements.
Collaborate with assurance, construction, logistics and delivery teams to resolve interface-related challenges.
Provide technical input to commercial and contractual matters where required.
Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, designers and internal project teams.
Act as a key link between design and construction teams to ensure successful delivery.
Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience working on large, multidisciplinary rail infrastructure projects.
Able to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
