Job Description: An opportunity for a Junior Armament Systems & Weapon Integration Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). This role is responsible for the end-to-end development and integration of armament systems, associated equipment and weapon/store integration into aerial platforms. The successful candidate will ensure that all systems meet the highest levels of performance, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout their entire lifecycle.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Development: Manage the full product lifecycle-from concept to retirement- ensuring full compliance with regulatory frameworks and delivering systems that consistently met complex program requirements.
- Technical Analysis: Perform trade-off analyses, validate architectures, and lead performance analysis to optimize system solutions.
- System Design: Define architectures for Armament Control Systems, Stores Management Systems, and Weapon Bay/Carriage systems in cooperation with suppliers or partners.
Lead the preparation and technical assessment of documentation for the design and development of armament systems and stores integration
- Interface & Requirement Management: Define interfaces and technical requirements across system, subsystem, and equipment levels, ensuring coherent integration and conducting impact analysis.
- Integration Activities: Lead the technical integration of weapons, stores, and armament systems by developing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and performing technical assessments of both weapon-level and system-level architectures to ensure seamless operational capability within the aircraft ecosystem.
- Safety & Documentation: Prepare and assess technical and safety documentation for armament systems and stores integration.
