Senior Armament Systems & Weapon Integration Engineer
An opportunity for a Senior Armament Systems & Weapon Integration Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
The successful candidate will ensure that all systems meet the highest levels of performance, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout their entire lifecycle.
Manage the full product lifecycle-from concept to retirement- ensuring full compliance with regulatory frameworks and delivering systems that consistently met complex program requirements.
Technical Analysis: Perform trade-off analyses, validate architectures, and lead performance analysis to optimize system solutions.
System Design: Define architectures for Armament Control Systems, Stores Management Systems, and Weapon Bay/Carriage systems in cooperation with suppliers or partners. Interface & Requirement Management: Define interfaces and technical requirements across system, subsystem, and equipment levels, ensuring coherent integration and conducting impact analysis.
Integration Activities: Lead the technical integration of weapons,



stores, and armament systems by developing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and performing technical assessments of both weapon-level and system-level architectures to ensure seamless operational capability within the aircraft ecosystem.”
Testing & Qualification: Develop system test benches and define ground/flight test requirements to support qualification and certification.
Technical Mentorship & Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and ensuring adherence to high-level engineering standards and best practices
Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
High adaptability to work on new topics, new business and in a networking mode.
Advanced level in English & Spanish (both written & spoken).
Acknowledgement of DOORS, Matlab/Simulink, C++
