Senior Data Engineer (Python / Data Applications)

Designing and building data-driven applications to support a live frontend
Working as part of full-stack teams alongside backend and frontend engineers
Applying software development best practices to the data world, including test coverage, design patterns and CI/CD
Implementing effective metrics, monitoring and observability processes
Building reliable and scalable data solutions that support business-critical applications




3+ years of commercial experience writing production code as a Data Engineer or Backend Engineer using Python
~ Experience shipping tested, reviewed code and taking ownership of technical quality
~ Moderate to proficient experience with data processing libraries and concepts
~ Strong SQL skills and understanding of database concepts
~ Understanding of database administration principles
~ Experience with Snowflake
~ Experience in data warehouse development or database administration
~ General knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance
