DESCRIPTION:
AWS is investing €33.7 billion in Aragón, Spain - one of the largest infrastructure investments in the region's history. As a DCO Cluster Manager, you'll lead the build-out and operation of our compute operations teams in this rapidly growing region.
This is a senior leadership role where you'll own safety, security, availability, scaling, costs, and efficiency across a 24/7 operation. You'll lead the team responsible for installing, maintaining, and decommissioning network and server equipment - but your primary focus is people. You'll build and grow a high-performing organization of managers and technicians from the ground up, shaping a culture of operational excellence as the region scales.
Previous data center experience is not required. What matters most is proven people leadership - specifically, experience managing managers and developing teams through periods of rapid growth.

- People Leadership: Build, lead, and develop a team of Data Center Managers and 100+ associates. Recruit talent, grow leaders, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
- Strategic Vision: Define and execute the operational strategy for the Aragón region, aligning with AWS global standards while adapting to local growth demands.
- Operational Excellence: Own all operational KPIs - drive process improvement, automation, and innovation to raise the bar on safety, availability, and efficiency.
- Scaling & Expansion: Plan and execute the operations component of new data center build-outs as the region grows, ensuring readiness from day one.
