Flomics is a fast-growing biotech company founded in 2018 in Barcelona. We are developing a revolutionary liquid biopsy test for the early detection of cancer, based on the analysis of cell-free RNA in blood. We are looking for a Bioinformatics Senior Scientist to join our growing team in Barcelona . Reporting to the Bioinformatics Lead, you will help us develop new pipelines for the early diagnosis and screening of complex diseases such as cancer. We hope to find someone with a start-up spirit who is highly motivated to be a part of a project that will revolutionize early cancer diagnosis and improve people’s quality of life.





Your Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain pipelines for NGS data analysis, with a focus on RNA-seq.
- Perform large-scale data mining , integration, and interpretation of genomics datasets.
- Apply machine learning and statistical approaches to identify novel biomarker signatures.
- Write and maintain efficient, reproducible, and well-documented code in Bash, Python, and R.
- Assist in the development of software and custom scripts to automate data input, retrieval, processing, and analysis.
- Contribute to the preparation of patents, scientific publications, and regulatory submissions.

What We Are Looking For:
- PhD in bioinformatics , computational biology, data science, or a related field, and 3+ years of postdoctoral or industry experience.
- Proven track record in NGS data analysis (especially RNA-seq).
- Proficiency in Python and R.
- Experience with workflow management s
