R&D; Packaging Category Expert
Lead the innovation and standardization strategy for a category of packaging materials (e.g., cardboard/fiber or rigid/adaptable plastics), ensuring a balance between sustainability, performance, cost, and machinability. You will be the key contact for defining material roadmaps, commercializing new solutions,



and ensuring the “pack-machine fit” on high-speed production lines.
The activities will be able to perform at several plants of the group in Europe depending on the project.
Specifications, quality & compliance : define test methods (e.g., top‑load, compression, drop, transport) and manage change control with full traceability and applicable regulations.
agree technical criteria with Procurement, establish alternatives (dual‑sourcing) and manage performance (capability, stability, total cost of packaging).
Plant continuous improvement: Drive OEE improvements, SMED for format changes, and reductions in scrap/waste and packaging‑related complaints; Project management & reporting : Lead stage‑gate projects with timelines, risk management (FMEA), budget and stakeholders; Bachelor´s or master’s degree in engineering (Industrial Design, Materials, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering) or a related field.
