About the Legal Employment Counsel role The Employment Counsel position will be based in Barcelona, Spain and report to the Senior Legal Counsel (based in Australia), providing legal advice on all employee related matters, including employment laws, employment contracts, employee claims, works councils and union representations. Provide expert counsel on a range of employment law issues, including grievances, dismissals,



employment contracts, benefits etc.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the People and Culture team, local management and business leaders, guiding decision making on employee relations, risk management and complex workplace issues.
Manage, alongside the People & Culture team, employment litigation and disputes, providing regulatory and compliance advice in the context of conduct, remuneration matters, and regulatory inquiries.
Monitor and communicate regional developments in employment laws and regulations, proactively adjusting policies and practises and providing clear, actionable advice to the business.
Support cross border employment law projects, including policy harmonisation, workforce changes and compliance initiatives.
Advise on legal risk in a clear, practical and commercially balanced way.
Law degree with admission to practice in at least Spain.
Extensive experience as a qualified employment lawyer
